Aloe hereroensis   from South Africa

The color of Aloe hereroensis plant is in soft pastel shades of blue-green with bright flowers.
Aloe hereroensis is mainly from Namibia and a part of the Free State.  An attractive succulent aloe. This aloe developed in a very dry habitat therefor it will absorb all water available, filling the leaves to bursting point.  Keep this aloe dry with minimum water in summer.  It is frost resistant when in a dry climate.
The racemes of Aloe hereroensis are capitated  and the color of the large flowers are bright orange, yellow or red.The color of the lineated  leaves of Aloe hereroensis are pale shades of  green and blue. Aloe hereroensis plants may have a short stem.
This aloe does not form suckers or offshoots, but the plant may split into two or three rosettes(heads).
Aloe hereroensis needs lime and very good drainage.  It will survive temperatures from hot and dry  to frost,   that is - typical desert conditions.
