A combination of different succulent and aloe plants can give a fascinating display of flowers as well as saving  water and maintenance.  A succulent garden can be an adventure with small hidden plants,   weird plants and beautiful flowers.
Succulent plants differ in color from a deep wine-red to all shades of green to purple and nearly white. The shapes of the plants are pretty, interesting,   to downright weird.  Mix these shades, shapes and textures in  a garden that is beautiful and unique.

The Cotyledons bloom freely and they are popular with nectar loving birds. Kalanchoe species are also very hardy and popular. The Mesembryanthemaceae(known as mesembs) have more than 1000 species.   The mesembs come in a wide range of shapes and sizes and most have colorful flowers, a very good choice for color.
